The PMM is a modernized version of the Makarov pistol, developed to increase firepower and improve handling characteristics. It uses the enhanced 9×18 mm PMM cartridge, which provides greater penetration compared to the standard round.

The frame and internal mechanisms were reinforced to withstand higher pressure, and the magazine capacity was increased to 12 rounds. Despite upgrades, the pistol retains the compact size and ease of maintenance typical of the original design. An ergonomic grip and improved contours provide better comfort and control during firing.

In the simulator, the PMM is recreated with realistic recoil dynamics, slide behavior, and reloading animations. This enables operators to practice recoil management, accurate burst shooting, and fast magazine changes.
