The Javelin is a U.S. man-portable anti-tank guided missile system designed to defeat armored vehicles, fortified positions, and low-flying aircraft. Its defining feature is the “fire-and-forget” principle, allowing the operator to relocate immediately after launch. The missile is equipped with an infrared seeker that locks onto the target’s heat signature and guides the weapon autonomously.

Javelin can strike tanks from above, where armor is weakest, significantly increasing lethality. It offers extended engagement range and maintains effectiveness even in low-visibility environments. Proper target acquisition and steady aim are required before launch.

In the simulator, the Javelin is recreated with realistic target-locking behavior and accurate missile flight dynamics. This enables operators to safely practice launch procedures, timing, and tactical employment in a wide variety of scenarios.
