The Piorun is a modern Polish man-portable air-defense system designed to engage aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles at low altitudes. It is an advanced upgrade of the Grom system, featuring an improved infrared seeker capable of more precise target discrimination and stronger resistance to countermeasures.

The missile offers increased range and engagement altitude, while the launcher provides enhanced ergonomics and operator comfort. With a sensitive seeker and rapid lock-on capability, Piorun is highly effective against fast and maneuvering aerial targets.

In the simulator, the Piorun is recreated with a detailed infrared seeker model, realistic target-lock mechanics, and authentic missile flight dynamics. This enables operators to practice proper aiming technique, optimal launch timing, and engagement strategies across different aerial threat types.
